Sonia Kujawa (b. Sanok, PL 1996) is an interdisciplinary artist who connects different kinds of media and formats, often implementing elements of science in her work. Exploring pattern repetition drives her to create visual narratives based on unpredictability, aberration, and emergence. She creates automated drawing devices and places them in chaotic environments that embrace error as an integral part of them. Through her interactive systems built with variously elaborated machinery, she explores the nuanced relationships between technology, humans, and nature. She describes the way people interact with her installations as a vital aspect of the works themselves.

In May 2023, her work Small Machines was honored with the grand prize of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage in the 9th Best Media Arts Graduation Projects Competition organized during the 20th Media Art Biennale WRO.
